Most of my bottles are found along the shores of the Ottawa River.   We enjoy the exercise, fresh air,and checking out the beautiful sunsets and the night life by the fire.
Some bottles are rare, lots of beautiful history is hidden inside a bottle.
Three years ago, one afternoon Cindy and I where barbecuing at one of our spots along the Ottawa River.
There was this guy in the water looking for something.   I was curious so I went over to get a conversation going to find out what he was looking for.
He told me he was looking for old bottles.   He told me if you come across a bottle that has a famous name or a bottle company that doesn't exist anymore or it has changed hands or has been destroyed by a fire, then the bottle is worth holding on too.   Coincidence, a couple days earlier is where I found the De Leon Florida Water Bottle and the Edward Behan Ginger Ale Bottle.
It wasn't till a year later I started doing research and found these two bottles to be very interesting.
Finding history information on a bottle can be mind-boggling at times, depending on how old the bottle is.
Any questions on my bottles I would be glad to hear from you and if your a bottle hunter, I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK.
MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

In the spring, I found this bomb.   The tip of the head from World War 1 artillery shell, on one of my walks along the Ottawa River, Pembroke, Ontario.
Last year our friends Bob and Jane accidently hit a bomb with his shovel.   This bomb was from World War 2 and was at least a couple of feet long.   There was enough TNT to blow a good size house down.
These bombs are from Petawawa, Ontario Military Base from way back when they used to practice their shooting ability.
That bomb was found just a few hundred yards from where I found this one above.   I notified the Police which they notified the Army to have the bomb safely removed.
I was also informed that my cell phone could of triggered the bomb to explode if someone called me.
People who look for bottles or artifacts or even people who enjoy fishing or the nightlife by a campfire should be aware of the dangers.
